Curriculum
The major in global environmental studies is truly interdisciplinary. Although the Graduate School of Geography administers the undergraduate global environmental studies major, you’ll select from courses offered by multiple departments and programs across campus, allowing you to explore the relationship between society and environment from different perspectives: Biology; Economics; Environmental Science; Sustainability and Social Justice; Management; Philosophy; Physics; Political Science; Psychology; Sociology; and Visual and Performing Arts.
To delve even deeper into your topic of interest, you’ll choose a subfield: political ecology, climate change and sustainability, or land and resources.

Honors Theses
During your junior year, you could be accepted into the School of Geography’s honors program. You’ll choose a topic and work closely with a professor on an honors thesis.
